How to track the PAN-Aadhaar link status
- Step 1 : Use this link to access the Income Tax e-filing portal: https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
- Step 2: Select “Quick Links” from the menu on the left. To link Aadhaar status, click on it.
- Step 3: Type in both your 12-digit Aadhaar number and 10-digit PAN.
- Step4: After that, select “View Link Aadhaar Status.”

How to link a penalty with Pan-Aadhaar
- Step 1 Go to the Home page of the e-Filing site and select Link Aadhaar from the Quick Links section.
- Step 2: Enter your Aadhaar number and PAN.
- Step 3: To continue paying using e-Pay Tax, click Continue.
- Step 4: To receive an OTP, enter your PAN and confirm your PAN and mobile number.
- Step 5: After confirming your OTP, you’ll be taken to the e-Pay Tax page.
- Step 6: Select the Income Tax tab and click Proceed.

- Step: 8b(i) To access the Protean (NSDL) portal, click the link provided below on the e-Pay tax page.
- Step: 8b(ii): The Protean portal will be the next page you see. Under Challan No./ITNS 280, click Proceed.
- Step: 8b(iii) Choose Tax Applicable (0021) and Payment Type (500).
- Step 8b (iv) Enter the remaining required information and continue.
When paying the late fee for Aadhaar PAN linking, please choose Assessment Year 2023–2024.
You can use the e-Filing Portal to link your PAN and Aadhaar number after paying the required cost.
How to connect PAN and Aadhaar after paying a fine
